Bihar Student Credit Card scheme ( Bihar Student Credit Card Yojana )
In present days GROSS ENROLLMENT RATIO (GER) of Bihar in higher studies is 14.3% which is far less than National Ration 24%.
Government of Bihar launches Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme(Bihar Student Credit Card Yojana) on 2nd OCT. 2016 to improve Bihar GER in higher education.
The main objective of this scheme under Vikshit Bihar ke 7 Nishachai is to provide education loan of upto 4 lakh to eligible candidate of Bihar willing to pursue higher education.
Moratorium period for this loan will be one year after completion of course or six month of candidate employment, which ever is before. No interest will be levied in moratorium period and after this interest will be levied @ 4%. For girls , transgender & physically challenged candidate interest will be @ 1%.
Note:- Government has declare that candidate will not forced for repayment if they will not get employment.
Eligibility for Bihar Student Credit Card scheme
To be eligible for education loan in this scheme candidate must be passed 10+2 or equivalent ( 10th for Polytechnic) .
Candidate age should be 25 year or less, for those courses which eligibility is graduation age limit will be 30 years.
Candidate should have admitted or selected for higher education courses in Institutes recognized by regulatory agencies of Government of Bihar or any state of India or India.
Candidate may get education loan for the courses selected and listed in scheme.

*Applicants shall clear merit list to avail benefits. Students who have taken admission through management quota / direct admission will not be eligible for scheme.

How to apply for Bihar Student Credit Card scheme
Eligible Candidate can apply online for Bihar student Credit Card scheme.
Government of Bihar has developed a portal for the schemes under Vikshit Bihar ke 7 Nishachai .
Candidate have to register on 7 nishchay portal as new user .
Candidate mobile number and email id should be unique & verified through OTP process.
The candidate will receive Registration Id on his/her registered mobile number and a pdf copy of acknowledgement .
Candidate will get appointment from respective DRCC . Candidate have to visit respective DRCC on the allotted date with self attested documents.

Required documents for Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme
List of required documents for Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme are as follow-
- Aadhar card of applicant & co-applicant.
- 10+2 mark sheet & certificate of candidate(10th for polytechnic).
- Scholarship or free education certificate if candidate have got any.
- A copy of candidate bank passbook in which branch name , account number & IFSC code is mention.
- Selection certificate from recognized institute with course duration & for institute out side Bihar course syllabus too.
- Course fee schedule issued by Institute.
- Two passport size photograph of applicant & co-applicant ( Father/Mother/Husband/Guardian )
- Address proof ( Voter Id, Passport, Driving Licence, Bank passbook etc.

New update in Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme
New update are made in Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme.
In month of July of 2019 Government of Bihar made some changes in Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme.
Changes are as follow:-
- Student could also apply laptop loan for higher education.
A maximum of ₹35000 will be sanction once for laptop.
But total sanction amount per candidate will not exceed 4 lack fixed for Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. - The educational institute must be full fill one of the following criteria to be admitted for loan in Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme.
1. At least Grade”A” must be given to institute by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) .
2. The institute must got Accreditation form National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
3. The institute must be ranked by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
4. Students who are studying in Private Institutes of Bihar are not eligible for scheme.

No you can’t apply for this scheme for distance education.
Sir , those who had got the credit card…but now after change of rule their college have less Naac grade A..will there credit card loan will be cancelled??
